Zia's Social on Northwest Highway opened Monday after nearly five months of interior renovation in the old Iron House Ale House space. The family behind the restaurant recently closed its two other locations in Lakeview and Edison Park.

Zia's Lago Vista was an Italian restaurant located on N Ashland Avenue. As a sister restaurant to Zia's Trattoria in Edison Park, they aimed to provide the same excellent service and high-quality food that their other location was known for. Zia's Trattoria had received an impressive eleventh consecutive "excellent" rating from Zagat Chicago and was also included in the 2013 Michelin Dining Guide. With exposed brick walls, wrought-iron lantern sconces, and white linen tablecloths, Zia's Lago Vista aimed to create an authentic trattoria atmosphere. Their menu featured richly-flavored pastas, classic Italian dishes such as Vitello Saltimbocca and Pollo Limone, as well as contemporary options like Gamberi Calabrese with fiery Calabrian peppers and cooling mint. Unfortunately, this business has been permanently closed.
