It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my dear sister-in-law, Patsy Powell, on Saturday, June 20th, in Atlanta, GA.
Patsy was a wonderful person, and of extraordinary help to me when Hecky passed in May 2020. Patsy stayed in Evanston to help with the restaurant for more than two years, ensuring a smooth transition in Hecky's absence. She had worked in the restaurant during her younger years, and thus knew the operation. I used to tease her that she had Hecky's running like a military kitchen, in light of her military experience.
I will miss her smiling face, upbeat personality, and no nonsense 'can do' spirit. My loss, heaven's gain...
