As an ice cream shop owner, there is one phrase I hear almost every day:

🍦 "They haven't had dinner yet."

And honestly, I get it! Many of us grew up believing dessert always comes after dinner.

But over the years, I've learned that one scoop of ice cream before dinner isn't going to ruin a child, spoil a family meal, or earn anyone a "Bad Parent Award." 😊

In fact, some of my favorite memories are watching grandparents sneak a scoop to their grandkids, parents sharing a cone with their little ones, and families laughing together while enjoying a simple treat.

Life is busy. Childhood is short. The opportunity to create joyful memories doesn't last forever.

So if your child wants ice cream before dinner once in a while, don't feel guilty. There will be plenty of vegetables, family dinners, and healthy choices throughout the week. Sometimes the sweetest moments come from breaking the rules just a little.

1. If you're coming from I-88, take the exit for I-355 South.
2. Merge onto I-355 South and continue until you reach the exit for Ogden Avenue (Route 34).
3. Turn left onto Ogden Avenue and continue until you reach S Cass Avenue.
4. Turn right onto S Cass Avenue; your destination will be on your right.
