To get to the location at Willow Springs Road in Western Springs, you can take the Metra BNSF railway line and exit at Western Springs Station. From there, walk southeast on Hillgrove Avenue towards Willow Springs Road and turn left onto it. The destination will be on your right.
If you're driving, take Interstate 294 and exit at the LaGrange Road exit. Head south on LaGrange Road and turn right onto 47th Street. Turn left onto Willow Springs Road and continue straight until you see the destination on your left. There is parking available on-site.

The Transition Program provides a continuum of services in an authentic setting, allowing students to practice and apply independent living and vocational skills. The program includes exposure to public transportation, access to a district-owned house with a garden where produce is grown and sold at the LaGrange farmer’s market and local restaurants.
One of the highlights of the program is the student-operated coffee business called Transition Perks. This business was started in-house in 2012 and has since expanded to include a storefront within the community. The success of this business is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students involved, who are developing skills necessary for future competitive employment.
The partnership between Transition Perks and Tropical Sno owner Nick Cozzi, as well as United Kitchen owner Kelly Ford, has been instrumental in supporting this program. Customers can now enjoy Transition Perks coffee at United Kitchen while supporting scholarships, vocational training programs, and additional resources for students.
