Happy 103rd Birthday to my Dad Nicholas Barraco.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you or miss you. Your name will forever be woven into the heart of Chicago through Vito and Nick’s, but to me, you were so much more than a legend—you were my father, my role model, and one of the greatest blessings of my life.

You built more than a restaurant. You built a home away from home where generations of families gathered, celebrated, laughed, and made memories that will last forever. Every thin, crispy piece that comes out of Vito and Nick’s still carries your love, your pride, and your commitment to doing things the right way. That’s a legacy that can never be replaced.

As the saying goes, “Pizza isn’t just food—it’s a memory you can taste.” Every time people walk through those doors, they’re experiencing the legacy you created with your own hands and your whole heart.

Chicago will always remember you as a South Side legend, but I’ll always remember the man behind that legacy—the dad who taught me the value of hard work. Thank you for every lesson, every sacrifice, every laugh, and every moment we shared. Those memories are treasures I’ll carry with me forever.

Heaven may be celebrating your birthday today, but your presence is still felt here every single day—in every story that’s told, every smile shared, every family gathered around a table, and every life you touched.

For decades, Rosemary's tireless work ethic, resilience, passion, and commitment have been the heart and soul of Vito and Nick's. Through long days, countless sacrifices, and an unmatched devotion to excellence, she has proudly carried on the legacy established by her father and grandfather, ensuring that Vito and Nick's remains one of Chicago's most beloved and respected family-owned restaurants.
