What people say
Nisei Lounge is a classic Chicago neighborhood dive bar that has been serving customers since 1951. Located in Wrigleyville, it is the oldest tavern in the area and offers an excellent selection of retro beers, craft beers, and cocktails. The bar also features a good pool table, a great jukebox, and free darts and board games for customers to enjoy.
One of the best things about Nisei Lounge is its commitment to being open for its customers. It is always open at least 2 hours before every Cubs home game and usually around 5pm daily unless there's good football, in which case they open earlier in the fall. With only two days off per year, Nisei Lounge is open 363 days a year.
The atmosphere at Nisei Lounge is laid-back and welcoming. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks on offer. The bar's page describes it as "more fun in person," which is definitely true. Whether you're looking for a place to hang out with friends or catch a game, Nisei Lounge has something for everyone.
Overall, Nisei Lounge is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a classic Chicago dive bar experience. With its great selection of drinks, fun games, and welcoming atmosphere, it's easy to see why this bar has been around for so long.
