At 11:31 AM on June 10, 1971, we welcomed our very first guests to R.J. Grunts, and 55 years later, our hearts (and bellies) are incredibly full. To get to the restaurant at N Sheridan Road in Chicago via Public Transportation, take the Red Line and exit at the Argyle station. Walk east on Argyle Street to N Broadway and then turn right onto N Broadway. Continue walking until you reach N Sheridan Road, where you will find the restaurant.

If driving, take Lake Shore Drive and exit at Foster Avenue. Head west on Foster Avenue until you reach N Sheridan Road. Turn left onto N Sheridan Road and continue for about half a mile until you see the restaurant on your left-hand side. Parking is available in nearby lots or street parking may be available if you are lucky enough to find an open spot. Be sure to check for any restrictions or permits required before parking on the street.
