We are The Gundis Kurdish Kitchen and friends of survivors of the Feb 6, 2023 earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Many of us (and you) have donated to charities funding relief in the most affected areas, and yet, we know from close contacts and friends that the devastation is so immense that charitable organizations can only do so much. We are fundraising via Go Fund Me to directly support families in Mersin, Kahramanmaras, Hatay, and Adiyaman. Link and more info in bio:

We are saddened to inform you that our Gundis family has lost an important woman in our history, Mercedes, mother of co-owner, Denisse, wife of our founding chef, Juan, and family and friend to so many of us on our team. She was an essential part of our beginning and gave what little she had to help us open our doors. She believed in The Gundis and truly loved Kurdish culture. She will be truly missed.

We will be closed until further notice as we grieve and as we accompany our family during this time. 🕊🤍
