The Assistant Manager will report to the General Manager
Job Overview
Assists the GM in overseeing all aspects of operation at the store level. Manages both costs of labor and food while providing a superior customer service and product.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversees and manages all staff, delegating tasks and positions
- Confirms that all corporate compliance standards are followed at all times
- Verifies that all orders are prepared with 100% accuracy
- Prepares all products and ensures proper levels of preparation are maintained
- Hires and trains any necessary staff members
- Handles necessary daily paperwork
- Handles and resolves any customer issues and complaints
- Handles any emergency situations (weather, robbery, injuries, etc.)
- Audits the store regularly to "hospital clean" standards
Qualifications
- Able to work up to 50 hours a week
- Positive enthusiastic attitude; Exceptional communication skills
- High school degree or GED preferred
- 2+ years of management experience
- Capable basic math skills
- Able to use Microsoft excel and word
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Food safety certified manager preferred

Checks all deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality
Delivers products to customers in a safe and courteous manner
Takes orders from customers over the phone and at the register, collecting payment and making change
Makes accurate and fast sandwiches
Complies with all standard portion sizes and recipes
Ensures vehicle is clean to carry deliveries, with enough gas prior to starting shift
Assists with after lunch/dinner cleaning, as well as weekly cleaning tasks
Qualifications
Positive enthusiastic attitude; good communication skills
Working reliable vehicle
Clean driving record and insurance on the vehicle intended to be used for delivery
Basic math skills, able to add and subtract without the use of a calculator
Able to lift up to 60 lbs
Must be 18+ years old
