It is with sadness and excitement that we announce that Kawayan is for sale! Our staff is seeking to retire. Opportunity is plentiful in this top notch location to reintroduce full dining room service and to take advantage of the delivery app boom. All food concepts will have the opportunity to keep the respected name.
We plan to operate the restaurant and market the sale until we find the right buyer. Please see the attached advertisement and pictures of equipment for more details.
We ask that you refrain from submitting questions to the staff as they are seeking to continue working without distraction. All final and best offers are due by December 4th at 12:00pm and should be submitted in email form to [email protected] Questions may also be submitted to that email address.

Happy Saturday, friends! It's been a long journey from the last time we were open for dine-in, but the long wait ends today.

We're bringing a favorite back after a long hiatus.
" Halo-Halo"- literally translated to "mix-mix," a Filipino shaved ice treat with coconut jelly, red b**g beans, palm fruit, creamed corn, jackfruit, & a variety of other goodies then topped with shaved ice, sugar, and vanilla ice cream (shown here with Ube (purple yam) ice cream from our friends at Village Creamery. ~ $7.95

To get to the restaurant on N Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago by public transport, take the Blue Line train and get off at the Logan Square station. From there, walk south on Milwaukee Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the restaurant.
If you are driving to the restaurant, take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/I-94) and exit at Kimball Avenue. Turn onto Kimball Avenue heading south and then turn right onto Milwaukee Avenue. Look for parking options on nearby side streets or use a paid parking lot in the area.
