Mythos Mythos was a European restaurant located on W Montrose Avenue, offering good street food cooked on the spit and charcoal. Customers could enjoy salads, traditional appetizers, and bring their own beverages. The Greek street food was reminiscent of Athens featuring handpacked Yeero, oven roasted chicken, lamb chops, and fresh ma. Unfortunately, Mythos is now permanently closed without giving any reason for its closure.

HOLLY WEEK 2017 @ Mythos 🧿

I vividly remember the large pot I used that night to die the Easter eggs. It was so deep I had to stand on a small step ladder to reach them. My crew patiently watched on as the eggs slowly turned a deep red; representing the blood đŸ©ž of Christ -eventually coloring my fingertips the same hue.
That Easter Sunday we set a record for covers at Mythos and it would be the last Easter holiday celebrated within the walls of that beloved space. Who knew?

Since then...almost everything has changed. The anticipation of this high holiday will come to pass without our usual church attendance at midnight, the colorful fanfare of Pascha or the hugs from family and friends that we Greeks and all humanity thrive on.
My, oh how big the small things of yesterday have now come to be.
Yet Christ Will Rise and so are we.
God bless and keep the faith ✝
