Gracias, Selección Mexicana 🇲🇽
For letting us dream and experience the best World Cup, for making us scream every goal from afar, for making us feel close to Mexico even when we’re thousands of miles away. Because when you live away from home, you miss your family, the streets, the sounds even more, but you also feel an even stronger pride in knowing where you come from.
These weeks, Mexicans around the world came together in one voice. We hugged strangers, filled tables with food, and filled our hearts with green, white and red.
We showed to the world how we welcome everyone with open arms, celebrate with our whole soul and never give up.
Today it hurts. Of course it hurts. But we’re left with the hope that this team gave us something we needed so much: the ability to believe again.

Today, we don’t need to change our name to Spanish.
Our taquerias are proudly named Atotonilco, after a small town in Los Altos, highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. It comes from the Nahuatl language and means “place of hot waters,” a name that reminds us where our warmth, our hospitality and our love for sharing a meal come from.
Because you can leave Mexico, but Mexico never leaves your heart.
Mexico isn’t just a place on a map. It’s the way we work hard, celebrate louder, welcome everyone to the table and always find a reason to keep going.
No matter how many years we’ve lived in this country, every time El Tri takes the field, our hearts beat a little faster. Today we cheer from Chicago, surrounded by family, friends, tacos and the traditions we carry wherever life takes us.
