Thomas and Dutch, an American restaurant located on Church Street, was a local gathering place that served elevated and craveable food. With a mission to offer affordable and approachable Midwestern fare based on locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, this modern Midwest eatery was a part of the Farmheads Hospitality Group. Founded in 2011 with the opening of Farmhouse Tavern in Chicago's River North neighborhood, the group expanded their family of restaurants with locations such as Farmhouse Evanston and Farm Bar in Lakeview. Unfortunately, Thomas and Dutch has permanently closed its doors.

Friends move all the time. Now it's our turn.

After nearly a decade of serving our Evanston community of friends and neighbors, we are moving on. We have loved being in Evanston for such a long period of time but alas we must move on. Our last day of service will be this Sunday, October 8. Before we leave, come see us for a drink and some quality food and wine.

This is only the beginning of our new journey! We have more in store!

Thank you Evanston for giving us the opportunity to feed you all these years.

Thomas & Dutch was featured as a "hot new restaurant that has the North Shore buzzing" highlighting our standout menu items such as the fried artichokes, fried walleye, roasted Berkshire pork tenderloin and our Beef Wellington.

Public Transport:
1. From downtown Chicago, you can take the Purple Line train towards Linden and get off at the Davis station in Evanston.
2. Once at Davis station, head east on Church Street. The destination will be on your left.

Driving/Parking:
1. If you're coming from downtown Chicago, take Lake Shore Drive northbound until it becomes Sheridan Road.
2. Continue on Sheridan Road until you reach Church Street in Evanston.
3. Turn right onto Church Street and look for parking options along the street or nearby parking lots/garages.
