This September 11, communities across the Chicago area come together to remember and honor those impacted by 9/11 as we mark its 25th anniversary.

Join us in honoring and remembering 9/11. Local police and fire departments will host a remembrance ceremony at 9 AM at Norwood Park Fire Department. UIC Student Veterans Affairs will also host an exhibition with a film screening at 5:30 PM and reception at 6 PM.
UIC Recreation and Wellbeing is hosting a memorial StairMaster climb. Purchase tickets and reserve a time slot at go.uic.edu/Stairclimb. The Tower Climb also begins at 8 AM, with opportunities to climb, volunteer, or donate at climbchicago.t2t.org.
IDHS-Serve Illinois is recruiting volunteers to pack over 500,000 meals for local food banks. Tunnel To Towers Climb is also looking volunteers and or donations via their website at climbchicago.t2t.org.
25 years later, Chicago continues to honor those we lost and the first responders who answered the call.

The Harding Tavern’s B**r of the Month is the Krombacher Pilsner and Keep the Pint Night will be on September 17th from 7-9pm.
The iconic Pilsner travels from Krombach, Germany, where the family owned and operated brewery has worked for over 200 years to perfect their craft with only the “most natural, highest quality organic ingredients.”
No reservations so come early to meet the Krombacher team, sample the product, and learn about all that goes into the production of this crisp, refreshing pilsner.

To get to the bar & grill and American restaurant on N Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, you can take public transport by taking the Blue Line train to the Jefferson Park station and then transferring to the Milwaukee North train heading towards Fox Lake. Get off at the Grayland stop and walk south on N Milwaukee Avenue for a few minutes until you reach your destination.
Alternatively, if you are driving, take I-90/94 to exit 45A for Kimball Avenue. Turn left onto Kimball Avenue and then turn right onto W Belmont Avenue. Continue straight until you reach N Milwaukee Avenue and turn left. You will find parking options along N Milwaukee Avenue or may choose to use nearby parking lots.
