India has officially lifted retaliatory tariffs on U.S. apple imports that were put in place in 2019.
India's tariff on U.S. apples were a cumulative 70%, causing apple imports to fall to nearly zero; costing U.S. apple growers nearly half a billion in the process.
"U.S. apple growers can now begin the work of competing for, and hopefully regaining, this critical market. We look forward to once again shipping great apples to this valued trading partner."
