This month’s Featured Farm is special. In honor of Women’s History Month, we are pleased to celebrate an incredible producer—María Lusleni Palacios Estela, a mom and farmer. Her passion comes from her motivation to support herself, her husband and their two children—but her motivation goes far beyond the farm. Through coffee, María dreams of giving her children an education and greater opportunities for the future. Each plant she tends and every harvest she completes brings that dream one step closer.

The coffee shop is located on N Damen Avenue in the city of Chicago. For public transport, take the Blue Line train to the Damen Station and then walk for about 10 minutes towards North Avenue. Alternatively, you can take bus number 50 or 72 to Damen & Milwaukee and then walk for about 5 minutes towards North Avenue.

For those driving, take I-90/94 and exit at North Avenue. Turn east on North Avenue and drive for about 1 mile before turning right onto N Damen Avenue. There is both street parking available and a paid parking lot nearby.
