Apocalypse skill #1 : learn to ferment vegetables.

Kimchi and kraut are fantastic foods to have on hand in your kitchen- and making a gallon batch costs about as much as a jar in the store. Live ferments can help keep you super healthy with probiotics for gut & vegan health, fresh vitamins, and fiber.

Plus- oh the pungent taste & sour crunch. :)

How are you nourishing yourself today?
As we ground into our human bodies, I encourage you to sit and be aware of how your food integrates into your system. Using your senses, enjoy this
5 minute eating meditation for your lunch today;
Sit comfortably. Or stand. But take a moment in private
First- how does it smell? Look? Feel in your hand or on your fork?
What are you most excited to put in your mouth?
Take a bite. Chew slowly. Feel it on your tongue, teeth, roof.
Swallow. Feel how your body uses gravity to glide the masticated food into your belly.
Repeat.
Take deep breaths between bites.
Check in.
Notice nuance.
Smell.
Taste.
Sight.
Delight.
Mental states.
And notice when you're full.
Then stop.
Now:
How does digestion feel?
Notice.

Eat well, my lovelies.
Xo
