Here we go - round 2! As announced a few weeks ago, our first crafting micro expo was a monumental hit so we are doing it again.

Visit stations set up for various hobbies and crafts and talk to an enthusiast about how they practice their craft and what it takes to get started. Browse their materials, look at stuff they’ve made, and see other related artifacts like books and pamphlets.

Featured arts and crafts will be a lacemaking demo from , knitting, and stained glass. Come learn about something new!

Lurking above the bar are four mysterious banners covered in symbols. Learn the story behind the Skylark’s famous banners and Chicago fraternalism, replete with secret handshakes, arcane rituals, and ancient songs. Join us and historians Paul Durica and Tim Samuelson for one of Chicago’s most unique event series being held at a bar. No tickets - get there early to snag a table.

Skylark is launching a craft series and we are hoping this first one will be a big hit.

Browse their materials, look at stuff they’ve made, and see other related artifacts like books and pamphlets. If you think this sounds cool, come check it out so we can work up a crowd and have a good reason to repeat it.

On Feb 28th we will have a rep for crochet, junk journaling with Vincenza , linocut printing with Mattea , stitching with Kodi , zine making with bats .tv, and Warhammer miniatures painting with Trevin and Sam. Come learn about stuff that will get your hands doing something other than scrolling your phone! And of course, drink beer and eat tots.
