Happy Father's Day to the inventor of Chicago’s Original Rainbow Cone!

“Grandpa Joe” Sapp opened the Rainbow Lodge in 1926. The ice cream shop became a treasured gathering place for folks near and far. Always the innovator, Joe mounted a giant model of the Rainbow Cone on the back of his vehicle to create one of the world’s first mobile billboards.
