A rare cut, brought to Chicago for an exceptional week.
In honor of IMTS, we secured a limited Japanese auction A5 Tankaku Wagyu ribeye from Hokkaido. Raised on a shiso-enriched diet, this prized beef is celebrated for its extraordinary marbling, depth of flavor, and delicate finish. ๐ฏ๐ต
Grilled over binchotan charcoal and served with traditional tare sauce (shoyu, sake, mirin), it is available only while this limited selection lasts.

Located on S Michigan Avenue in Chicago, the steakhouse and new American restaurant is easily accessible by both public transport and driving.
By Public Transport:
The closest train station is the Roosevelt subway station which serves the Red, Green, and Orange Lines. From there, itโs a short walk to S Michigan Avenue. Additionally, several bus routes including #1, #3, and #4 stop within a block or two of the restaurant.
By Car:
If driving, you can take either Lake Shore Drive or I-55 to get to S Michigan Avenue. There are parking lots nearby as well as some street parking available.

The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for classic and inventive American steakhouse fare. Located in the South Loop, this historic building was originally designed as a firehouse for Engine Company 104 and is now a designated Chicago Landmark. The renovations made to the restaurant reflect thoughtful attention to turn of the century design elements while maintaining the building's beauty and heritage.
Upon entering through the firehouse's original doorway on 14th Street, guests will find a large bar area, hand-painted mural, 12 patterned tin ceiling, original Tiffany glazed brick, custom millwork and tufted banquettes. The now 15,000 square foot steakhouse offers a spacious solarium with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the restaurant with natural light and a state-of-the-art kitchen visible from various vantage points.
The first floor's bar area, main dining room and solarium offer seating for 215 guests. The second floor is dedicated to private event space and can accommodate parties of up to 250 guests. This level's renovation includes sun-filled spaces with walnut paneled walls, reclaimed wood floors and beautifully handcrafted doors. Two large parlor rooms (Palmer Parlor and Kimball Parlor) were aptly named for the first families of Chicago who resided on Prairie Avenue. The Mayor's Room is handsomely designed with a fireplace and 11-foot doors.
The menu at The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant features classic American steakhouse dishes as well as inventive new creations that are sure to please any palate. Whether you're in the mood for a perfectly cooked steak or something more adventurous like their signature Lobster Mac & Cheese or Grilled Octopus appetizer, you won't be disappointed.
