Today is the day, or last day should I say. Our infamous Jive Turkey crepe is on the way out with very few preorders left!

For those who got those orders in, you know how to jive. For those who are waiting....tick tock! Almost gone for good.

The number 12 has an interesting way of presenting itself in life. There are twelve hours on a clock. Twelve months to the year. Twelve years that we have completed business. Twelve crepes in our savory menu. In some circles, twelve can be viewed as a completed cycle; the start of a NU beginning.

These are words that I never thought I would see so plainly in front of me, but NU Crepes will be closing its doors after January 12, 2025.

Quite a few things have transpired during our tenure here at our location, 115 W. Schiller Ct, and we have appreciated the support and friendship that our local community has provided. Without this adoption of a NU business, we would have never survived this funky, yet hidden venue. Word of mouth and repeat customers are the reason we were listed as a Chicago top spot, featured on WGN, and historically listed as a “gem, hole in the wall eatery”.

Our family took a risk and opened a fun and delicious crepe concept. We think that we were successful delivering the same consistency of our premium, yet affordable product since 2012. However, markets and expenses have changed considerably over time - more so recently.

What does this mean in the interim? It means that we are dedicated to serving the same consistent product up until January 12, 2025 at this location. This is roughly three months that you will have to dine in or take out and still offer the same support that we appreciate so incredibly much. Without it, we surely would have not made it past the first year, let alone a pandemic!

Some details:

Yes, hours will remain unchanged, 9am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday and 9am-2pm Sunday
Gift cards are redeemable until January 12, 2025
Business will operate just as it has, so no major changes to be announced now
We may be eliminating delivery services in an effort to serve our in person customers more efficiently. As of now, we are offering delivery services through UberEats
We are still booking events at our location into the holiday season, so consider us!

Here's something you didn't know you NEEDED.

Smashed ricotta meatball w/ vodka mezzi rigatoni. This is an all beef meatball, smashed to a crusty, garlic crust. This ensures you get a little bit in every bite. Finished with a broiled fresh mozzarella and basil.

To get to W Schiller Court in Elmhurst, you can take the Metra Union Pacific West Line and get off at Elmhurst Station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk northeast on Schiller Street towards York Street until you reach the intersection with W Schiller Court.

If you're driving, take the Interstate 290 West and exit onto York Road. Drive north on York Road for about 2 miles and then turn left onto Schiller Street. Drive one block west on Schiller Street until you reach W Schiller Court.

There are various parking options available in the area including street parking and several nearby parking lots/structures.
