Where my St. Sym’s peeps at? 😃 The Class of 1980 had their 40-year reunion planned for last year and had to postpone it. So this was for their 40+1 year reunion! The party must go on! Chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting and handmade white chocolate toppers!

This cake was so much fun to make! A teenager’s bedroom... vanilla cake covered in buttercream with fondant figures and detail... all edible! The dog, the foot sticking out, the bra on the nightstand... I can’t decide which is my favorite part! 🤣

It’s September! That means it’s time for my inside-out caramel apple cupcakes! 😋 A delectable apple cinnamon cupcake filled with my salted caramel, topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and a salted caramel ribbon! All from scratch! My kitchen smells like fall! 🍁🍎🍏

Just an FYI... this is what happens behind the scenes when you order a cake from a custom cake shop like mine (although I’d add a LOT more time for clean up!). Yes, even for “just a small cake.” This is why I can’t compete with big box/grocery store prices. But then again, they can’t compete with me for freshness, variety, customization, or creativity either. I’m not saying a grocery store cake doesn’t have its place. But you don’t go to a steakhouse and tell them you can get beef for a lot cheaper at McDonald’s. 😉

And this doesn't include my creativity and aim to reach perfection - which is priceless....

Option 1: Public Transport
Take the Red Line and get off at the Chicago station. Walk east on Chicago Ave. Turn right on Michigan Ave and continue walking until you reach the intersection of Michigan Ave and Oak St. The shop is located in that area.

Option 2: Driving/Parking
From Lake Shore Drive, exit onto North Michigan Ave. Continue north on Michigan Ave for about a mile. Turn right onto East Pearson St, then turn left onto North Rush St. Take another left onto East Oak St and look for parking spots in the area as street parking is limited.
