**📣 ELMHURST, WE NEED YOUR HELP! 📣**
Our Winter Coat Drive kicks off November 1, and we still need a home base!
Every winter, 130+ local families help us sort coats, hang donations and load our truck every two weeks to warm up neighbors experiencing homelessness. 🧥☕
We're looking for a large empty space in Elmhurst, like a vacant storefront, that a property owner would donate or lend to our 501(c)(3) from November through February.
**Know a landlord or business with an empty space?** Tag them, share this, or send us a message. Even a lead helps!
We already have **16 local businesses** signed up as donation drop-off locations. 🙌 **Own a local business and want to be one too?** Shoot us a message!
Thank you, Elmhurst. ❤️

Today, I’m celebrating one of the most talented, hardworking, and genuinely beautiful people I know—my incredible friend Kai Sison —and TWO YEARS of Roughedges Confectionery and Cookery 🎉🎂
Kai, what you’ve created is so much bigger than cakes and confections. You built something with your own hands, poured your heart into every detail, and brought so much joy, creativity, and sweetness to our community.
You’ve also been an incredible friend to me and an amazing supporter of Pilot Pete’s and our coat drive. You show up for people, give without being asked, and make everyone around you feel supported, welcomed, and loved.
So let’s celebrate Kai the right way: stop by Pilot Pete’s and grab your coffee, then head over to Rough Edges Confectionery for lunch and something sweet! Let’s show this incredible local business owner just how much she means to our community.
Happy two-year anniversary, Kai! I’m beyond proud of you, grateful for you, and honored to call you my friend. You deserve every bit of love and recognition coming your way—you truly deserve the world. ❤️🌎🎉

✈️ If you haven't met Riley yet, today is your chance!
For the past two weeks, our cousin Riley has been visiting from California and jumped right into life at Pilot Pete's. From serving lattes and pulling espresso shots to helping at catering events and putting smiles on customers' faces, he's been an awesome part of the crew.
Today is his last shift before he flies back home tomorrow. ❤️
If you're stopping by for your morning coffee, take a minute to say hello (or goodbye!) and wish him safe travels. He'll be at the shop with Valerie until 1:00 PM today.
Thanks for all your hard work, Riley. We'll miss you, and we can't wait to have you back in Illinois. ☕✈️
See you at the shop! 💙
