Rain, Snow and Sun...Tuesday, March 17th, St. Patrick's day, we are serving Corned Beef and Cabbage dinners as well as a Corned Beef Sandwich from 11:00 until 6:30. Is it really March already?? Yep! In addition to the Fish Fry Specials this week we are pleased to announce that we will be serving Corned Beef and Cabbage dinners and sandwiches on St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17th. We will be serving it from 11:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. that day. It is a long process, and we want to have enough for everyone, so order soon. The information will be online by the end of today. Now on to the Fish Fry specials for this Friday, March 6th. This week's extra specials are Baked Shrimp Dejonghe (takes 15 minutes to prepare, order accordingly for time) and Fried Bluegill. Happy February! Here's the scoop on events happening at the Culinary Fox Cafe this month of February. We are currently taking pre-orders for Paczki from Deerfield Bakery. Pre-orders are due by Tuesday, February 10th, to be delivered on Fat Tuesday, February 17th. Order online or call the cafe 847-695-3663. Chef Gene will be preparing New Orleans style soups and specials for Mardi Gras week, February16th - 20th, the Muffuletta Sandwich will be back again! First Fish Fry of 2026 will be on Friday, February 20th. We serve fish from 11:30pm until 6:30pm. There will be a Fish Fry every Friday during Lent. To get to Larkin Avenue in Elgin, you can take the Metra train to the Elgin station and walk west on Highland Avenue for about 15 minutes until you reach Larkin Avenue. Alternatively, you can take the Pace bus and get off at the intersection of Larkin and Highland.
If you are driving, take the I-90 E towards Elgin and exit onto Route 31/North State Street. Make a left onto Highland Avenue and then a right onto Larkin Avenue. There is parking available along the street or in nearby parking lots.
