“Tteok Guk with Mandu is one of my favorite dishes in the world.
Growing up, some of my fondest childhood memories were around the kitchen table with my family. During Korean Thanksgiving, or Chuseok, food was how we celebrated, shared stories, and stayed connected to our traditions.
Tteok Guk always brings me back to those memories. The warm broth, chewy rice cakes, and tender mandu are simple, comforting, and remind me of home.
As I got older, I realized that these recipes are more than just food, they carry our family traditions and memories from one generation to the next.
For me, every bowl of Tteok Guk is a little taste of home and a reminder of where I come from.”
