Meet Michelle Fernandez, owner and founder of MediaNoche Berwyn Cafe! ☕🥪

Michelle is a proud Mexican American Latina, born and raised in Chicago. Both of her parents immigrated from Mexico in the late 1970s, instilling in her the value of hard work and resilience. With 10 years of experience as a waitress, Michelle gained firsthand knowledge of customer service, which she later carried into her own entrepreneurial journey.

Her passion for food and community led her to open Media Noche Café in the heart of Berwyn in November 2020 right in the middle of a pandemic. Inspired by her husband’s grandfather, who was born and raised in Havana, Michelle mastered Cuban seasonings and flavors that are now the foundation of her café’s menu.

Through her business, Michelle combines her love for hospitality with her commitment to sharing culture and flavors that bring people together. Her story is a powerful reminder of perseverance, family roots, and the courage to build something meaningful even in challenging times.
