Our Maywood Police Officers thought it might be fun to challenge some of our creative young residents to a contest.

So, here's an easy one that we would like you have our Maywood youngsters participate in:

CONTEST: We're doing a lot of conference calls, training and keeping up on all things for our community, state and nation, to be more valuable to you so we need some fun background during our Zoom meetings. We'd like our local artists to draw or create a picture of a fun Zoom or Video conference background for our officers! It can be a drawing, a painting, collection of photos, your pets, whatever you feel is a cool background, we want to see how creative our kids in Maywood can be.

So send us your works of art (and something you won't mind if we use in the background for our meetings) but be creative, use your school spirit, draw your friends, picture of your pets that you want in the video background, whatever it is, use your imagination and HAVE FUN!

RULES: BE creativity, USE your imagination and HAVE FUN-- THAT'S IT!!
Kids only: Ages 4 years old - 17 years old
Email entries must include artist's name and age (and school if applicable) and return address (include parent/guardian's name) just in case you win!
Entries must be sent (by 9 a.m. April 30) to [email protected] - subject line must contain - MPD Stay at Home Contest
US Mail entries must be postmarked April 30,
Drop off at the desk in the Police Department by April 30, noon.
All mail or drop off entries must have ATTN: MPD STAY HOME CONTEST on the envelop

Entries must be received no later than 9 a.m. 4/30/2020, so we can display entries in our May 5th newsletter.

Maywood Police Officers will vote - one winner will win a gift card to one of our fabulous Maywood restaurants! That's it!
