Boy did I bucket list this weekend trip to Chicago. Mole? Check. Full English breakfast? Big. Time. Check! And it was incredible. First off, beans on toast yes or no?

With a friend and on her good advice we checked out Pleasant House Pub in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago (same neighborhood as my previous post on the amazing mole I had). I scouted the menu and saw they had a "Royal English Breakfast" and this queen has arrived.

It's fried eggs sunny side up, royal banger sausage, royal rashers, black pudding, baked beans, grilled tomato, roasted mushrooms, sourdough toast, butter and jam. All of this amazing food on a platter for only 18.

My first black pudding, I only want rashers now instead of American bacon (where can I get this in Toledo?) and a delightful amount of vegetables grilled with the meat. For as much food as I had it was surprisingly light for a dish, nothing too heavy or oily.

I'm absolutely convinced we need this in Toledo. I can make my English Sunday roasts with Yorkshire pudding on my own, but this is how breakfast should be. What a dream. Anyone else want to try a full English breakfast?

Also, Mayo Gang, that was butter in the middle, not mayo. I only need mayo for my fries, not my beans.

To reach the British restaurant and pub located on S. Halsted Street in Chicago, you can take public transportation or drive and park nearby. If taking public transportation, take the train to the Cermak-Chinatown station and then transfer to either the 8 or 62 bus heading south. Get off at the stop closest to Halsted Street and walk north until you reach your destination.

If driving, take the I-90/94 highway towards downtown Chicago and exit at Roosevelt Road. Make a right onto S. State Street, which turns into S. Wabash Avenue, and then make a left onto W. Cermak Road. Turn right onto S. Halsted Street and look for parking options along the street or in nearby parking lots/garages.
