What people say

Hot dog restaurants are a staple in American cuisine, and Little Joe's in Countryside is no exception. What sets this hot dog joint apart from the rest is their commitment to using homemade recipes that have been passed down through generations. The restaurant was founded by Anna Cumbo and her husband Angelo in 1969, and they named it after their son Joe. Anna's passion for cooking shines through in every dish she creates, from the giardinera to the meatballs. She even seasons, cooks, and slices the beef herself.

Anna's daughters, Gina and Angela, now run the restaurant for their mother with the same dedication to quality ingredients and authentic flavors. And if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Anna herself cooking up a storm in the back kitchen. Her grandchildren also help out on busy days, referring to her lovingly as "Mama" as they grew up eating only the best dishes cooked by their second mother.

Little Joe's has been recognized for its excellence in hot dogs by being inducted into the Vienna Beef Hall of Fame in 2011. It was also featured on Chicago's Best TV in 2012. But what really speaks volumes about this hot dog restaurant is that customers say that the taste hasn't changed in almost 50 years.

If you're looking for an authentic hot dog experience with homemade recipes that have stood the test of time, look no further than Little Joe's on E Plainfield Road.
