Barrio BBQ 2026 — what a day.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for another unforgettable Barrio BBQ and for helping us kick off patio season in Bucktown. Seeing our community gather around great food, great company, and a shared purpose is what makes events like these so special.
A special thank you to our friends and collaborators who helped bring this year’s celebration to life: Chel Geno Bahena , Santa Masa Tamaleria , LOBO , and DIEGO | Chicago . Your talent, generosity, and passion made the day one to remember.
Most importantly, thank you to every guest who attended. Together, we were able to support an organization doing important work in our community, with proceeds benefiting the ICIRR

Father’s Day marks the beginning of our Patio y Parrilla Summer Series at Manchamanteles.
Join Chef Geno Bahena starting at 11 AM as he fires up the outdoor Aztec grill for an afternoon of cooking over live fire. Enjoy special al carbón offerings available exclusively for the series, including cecina, skirt steak, al pastor, chicken breast, and a vegetarian grill plate served with traditional accompaniments.
Our full brunch and regular menu will also be available from 11 AM–4 PM.

Join us for a one-night-only walk-around tasting experience featuring seven dishes and one welcome cocktail, celebrating the flavors, traditions, and creativity of Mexican cuisine.
Joining us are Santa Masa Tamalería, Diego, and Pizza Lobo, alongside the Manchamanteles team for an afternoon of exceptional food, drinks, and community.
Tickets are $66 plus tax and include all seven dishes and one welcome cocktail.
A portion of proceeds will benefit ICIRR, supporting immigrant and refugee communities throughout Illinois.

Join us on June 14 for Barrio BBQ: Fuegos y Amigos, an afternoon celebrating great food, community, and the flavors of Mexico.
Hosted by Chef Geno Bahena during James Beard Awards Weekend, this walk-around tasting experience brings together some of Chicago’s most talented chefs and restaurants, including Manchamanteles, Diego, Pizza Lobo, and Santa Masa Tamalería, for an unforgettable afternoon of live-fire cooking, Don Julio cocktails, music, and more.
Tickets include tastings from every chef station.
