Dear Southtown community,
After 32 unforgettable years of serving Chicago, the time has come for me to hang up my apron and step into retirement.
Looking back, I am filled with gratitude. To the city of Chicago, our wonderful neighborhood and every one of you who ever walked through our doors from 35th street in Bronzeville to our current home in Park Manor on 71st street. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives.
To our incredible staff: your relentless passion and hard work have been the true heartbeat of this restaurant. I couldn’t have done any of this without you. And to my family: thank you for your endless patience, support, and sacrifices over the last three decades.
While a chapter is closing for me, the story continues! Starting August 25, the restaurant will officially be under new management. The new management shares our exact same passion, dedication, and commitment to serving this community. You can look forward to the same fresh, delicious food and the same great taste you’ve loved over the years.
Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
Abdul
