With heavy hearts, we are announcing the passing of Tom Birt from County Derry, Ireland.

Tom has been the face of the Six Penny Bit since its inception.

Tom was also the owner of the Blue Lagoon and The Sportsman in Ireland. He always welcomed any and all to patron his establishments.

A proud Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Irishman, friend, and businessman…a true living legend.

He loved this place, and he loved all of you.

Please keep Tom and the Birt family in your prayers during this time of mourning.

Wherever you may find yourself today, raise a glass in Tom’s honor.
