While at Cermak Produce I ran into family that came to my shop often. The little girl told me that she misses the chicken tacos from my store and she wishes she could eat them every day(thank you Kaylie). Lol.
The young lady was on to something. I told her parents the next time I make some, I will reach out.
My predicament: I can’t make chicken tacos without making green sauce. And chicken tacos with green sauce just wouldn’t be the same without rice and beans (and tortilla chips). If I’m going to do it, I have to do it right.
So I called the troops to see if they would be interested. I told them if I can get enough orders to make it worth it, we can spend the day making chicken, Steak, rice,
Beans, guacamole, chips and that amazing green salsa and I would compensate them for their time.
To ensure that there will be no wasted food and to ensure that everyone who orders gets exactly what they wanted, I created a sort of sign up sheet.
As im sure you know, each box of chicken and each box of steak produces a certain number of servings.
Steak Taco Dinner for Two People: $35 (all prices include tax and delivery to pick up location).
- 3 tacos per person (6 total)
- rice and beans for two
- 8 oz green sauce (4 oz each)
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- Toppings
- to ensure freshness, each part of the meal will be served in separate containers. For example: the rice in one container, the beans in another container, the chicken or steak in one container, the green sauce in one container, tortilla chips in a bag and tortillas on the side. Each order will also get a container with lettuce and tomatoes and another container with onion and cilantro. Lastly, each order will get an 8oz container of chihuahua cheese.

I know people like to add things to their orders and if I am able to accommodate your request, I would be more than happy to. However if I am unable to, please understand that we are rather limited and to ensure efficiency we are trying to streamline things as much as possible.
This endeavor is more costly for me in this format than in times past when I could leverage my business therefore producing food and labor at a slightly lower cost. However I am excited to see my old friends and make some awesome food together. I am beyond excited to see many of my old customers again as well. On January 4th I am renting a commissary kitchen (thanks Rich) where we will be preparing the food. On January 5th your orders will be ready!
I plan to have 2 pick up locations. One in Bridgeport at approximately 3pm and the other in Cannaryville at approximately 5pm. These locations will likely be at a local park district or church/school location pending approval.
To pre-order put your name in the comment. Include choice of meat and for how many people and I will add your name to the list. Once you pre-pay your spot will be secure.
