Meet Chef Kevin, our Executive Catering Chef for Plate 1898!
Favorite Dish to Make: "My favorite thing to cook is whatever someone else's favorite thing to eat is!"
Local to Woodstock, Illinois, Chef Kevin has been cooking since he could hold a utensil, and professionally for over 22 years as he bounced around Illinois, Indiana, and Colorado! His culinary dedication is inspired by his grandma, but his skills came naturally as he fit right into the kitchen environment.
Chef Kevin joined our team in July, and he has quickly become a huge asset to both our catering and culinary teams. We cannot wait for him to showcase his skills and impressive meals with a few chef spotlights throughout this quarter!

Introducing MELLOW!
We are so excited to announce the opening of our new acai and boba concept this fall on the 2nd floor of the Lincoln Park Student Center!
At Mellow, you can choose a specialty acai bowl, build your own bowl, or pick one of our many boba teas in partnership with Botrista!
Mellow will be opening on Wednesday, September 9th at 11am, and we can't wait to see you all there!

Meet Chef Howard, our Chef Manager at the Lincoln Park Campus!
Favorite Dish to Make: Any Italian dish, they’re all good!
Chef Role Model: his old friend and Culinary Director, Chef Tim Norris
Local to Roseland in Chicago, IL, Chef Howard has been cooking for over 23 years. He knew he enjoyed being in the kitchen from a very young age - when all the kids went outside to play, he stayed in the kitchen and learned how to cook from his mom and great aunt. Chef Howard joined our team at DePaul in February and instantly was a huge asset to our culinary and operational team!

Local to East Chicago, Indiana, Chef Kyle first learned about cooking when he was 9 years old from working with his grandmother in the kitchen. Shortly after graduating from high school, he discovered his true passion for cooking from seeing his uncle work as a cook in a hotel connected theater, and he knew he wanted to learn more about how kitchens work. He has been our Chef Manager at the Loop Campus since December, and he brings so much skill and dedication to our team!
