Skill spotlight: Rene! ☕📦
Growth at work can look like learning a new task, becoming more confident in your abilities, or being trusted with greater responsibility.
Rene has experienced all three at Aspire CoffeeWorks! This year, he’s continued strengthening his ability to create pallets with boxes, using the sealing machine to package coffee, and taking on additional responsibilities as part of the team.

Two team members, new skills, and double the reasons to celebrate! ☕💙
Meet Alicia and Marcus, two members of the Aspire CoffeeWorks team who have been putting in the work and building their skills this year!
From learning how to seal coffee bags to confidently using the 5 lb. machine, Alicia and Marcus have been taking on new responsibilities, growing their confidence, and working alongside their teammates to keep the coffee flowing. Every bag sealed and every new skill mastered is another accomplishment worth celebrating!
We're so proud of Alicia and Marcus for their hard work, dedication, and everything they bring to the CoffeeWorks team. Keep up the amazing work! 💪

Why does meaningful employment matter?
It creates opportunities to develop skills, grow confidence, contribute to a team, and experience the pride and purpose that come with meaningful work.
Throughout , we’ve been hearing directly from members of Aspire CoffeeWorks about what employment means to them. Now, we’re highlighting some of the skills they’ve developed and accomplishments they’re proud of.
Because meaningful employment isn’t one-size-fits-all. It starts with recognizing each person’s strengths and creating opportunities for those talents to grow. 💙

Behind every bag is a team bringing their own skills, personalities, and strengths to the work they do. From learning new responsibilities and building confidence to working alongside friends and teammates, there’s a lot to celebrate.
Throughout October, we’ll introduce you to members of the CoffeeWorks team, share the skills they’ve been building, and hear from the people and partners helping create more pathways to meaningful employment.

We recently joined our incredible partners at Medline for two amazing events: their Craft Fair and Chicago Ducky Derby celebration! ☕️
We loved serving coffee, meeting employees, and sharing more about Aspire CoffeeWorks. These opportunities were made possible by Medline’s Disability Network and Action Alliance ERG.
