The Stained Glass was a well-known European restaurant located on Benson Avenue. The establishment was considered a pioneer of the Evanston fine dining scene since it opened in 1999, offering New American cuisine with traditional and international flavors paired with an extensive global wine list. The restaurant had 32 wines available by the glass, eight hand-selected wine samplers, and an extensive wine bottle list to cater to every customer's preferences. With Executive Chef Victor Hernandez at the helm, patrons could enjoy the freshest ingredients and finest flavors that made for an unforgettable dining experience. Despite its popularity, The Stained Glass has been permanently closed.

To get to Benson Avenue in Evanston, you can take the Purple Line train and get off at the Foster stop. From there, walk east on Foster until you reach Benson Avenue.
If you prefer to drive, take Lake Shore Drive north until it becomes Sheridan Road. Continue on Sheridan Road until you reach Foster Street. Turn left on Foster and continue until you reach Benson Avenue.
Parking is available on the street or in nearby parking lots. Please be sure to check for any parking restrictions or fees before leaving your car.
