Empowerment is on the menu this September. ❤️

We’re proud to be part of Kitchen Possible’s Kitchen Possible September fundraiser, joining restaurants across Chicago to support their work with kids through cooking.🧑‍🍳

Kitchen Possible teaches children ages 8–12 in under-resourced Chicago neighborhoods not only how to cook, but how to set goals, follow a plan, ask for help and believe in what they’re capable of.

At Anelya, $1 from every Crayfish Deviled Egg sold this September will be donated to Kitchen Possible.

So come have a deviled egg and help us support a great organization doing meaningful work in our city.

See you at Anelya this September. ❤️

New in the menu 🌟

🥟 This time Varenyky - our handmade dumplings, filled with caramelized sour cabbage, served with a creamy walnut & mushroom sauce, sautéed chanterelles, and toasted walnuts.
Just couple days in the menu, but already is everyone’s favorite!

🍖 And new version of Halushky now is made of soft potato sough, stuffed with slow-braised lamb and served in a rich lamb broth with fresh green ajika and crispy shallots.

It’s always exciting to bring something new to our menu, but what we love even more is seeing you enjoy it.

Come by Anelya and share a warm, cozy dinner with us. We can’t wait to hear which dish becomes your favorite 💖

Our guests have been asking for Napoleon Cake for a long time….

Starting this weekend, you’ll find it on our dessert menu.

Made in house with delicate layers of buttery puff pastry and our baked sour cream pastry cream, it comes together into a soft, melt-in-your-mouth dessert. Finished with a touch of rose petal syrup for a light floral note.

We think it’s the most romantic dessert of the summer. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do. 🤍

Meet Dacha (Дача) 🤍

In many families, Dacha is a place where everyone gathers outside the city in summer time. To share a meal, celebrate, relax, and spend time together. That’s exactly the feeling we wanted to create with our private dining room.

Dacha is a cozy, completely private space for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, family dinners, reunions, or simply getting everyone around one table.

It seats up to 16 guests for a family-style dinner or up to 23 guests for a standing cocktail party with snacks and appetizers.

We can customize the menu, put together a cocktail or wine package, or even organize a private wine tasting to make your celebration feel just right.

Available Wednesday through Sunday.

If you’re planning something special, we’d love to host you 🫶

BIG NEWS 🇺🇦🍷

For the first time at Anelya, we are proud to pour Ukrainian wines! It is exclusive! Outside of Ukraine itself, these bottles can only be experienced at Anelya.

This collection brings together some of the most exciting modern Ukrainian wineries, each rooted in the unique terroirs of Southern and Western Ukraine.

✨ FROM THE MYKOLAIV REGION — Beykush Winery

Located on the unique Cape Beykush, with shores washed on one side by the Berezan Estuary and on the other by Beykush Bay, the winery is known for its experimental, small-production wines that have become symbols of modern Ukrainian winemaking.

Represented at Anelya by:

🍇 Artania — elegant, layered, and beautifully balanced, with bright fruit, soft spice, and a long, refined finish.
🍇 Telti Kuruk — made from a rare indigenous grape once nearly forgotten. Crisp, mineral-driven, fresh, and deeply connected to the history of the Black Sea region.

🎾 FROM THE ZAKARPATTIA REGION — Stakhovsky Wines .wines

Founded by former professional tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky, this winery represents a new generation of Ukrainian craftsmanship and passion.

Represented at Anelya by:

🍷 OW Cabernet — expressive and vibrant, with refreshing acidity and delicate aromatics that make it incredibly easy to fall in love with.
🍷 ACE Traminer — a bold and structured natural orange wine with rich character and remarkable depth.

🌊 FROM BESSARABIA, ODESA REGION — Villa Tinta

A winery dedicated to preserving and reviving local Ukrainian grape varieties from one of the oldest wine regions in Eastern Europe.

Represented at Anelya by:

🍇 Odessa Black Alibernet — deep, velvety, and powerful, with notes of dark berries, spice, and smoke. A true taste of Southern Ukraine.
🍇 Odessa White Sukholimansky — floral, fresh, and aromatic, with bright citrus and soft stone fruit notes, made from a uniquely Ukrainian grape variety.

These wines tell a story of culture, resilience, history, and modern Ukraine poured into every glass.

And honestly, there may be no better pairing than Ukrainian-inspired food and Ukrainian wine. 🇺🇦✨

What people say

Anelya Chicago, located on N Elston Avenue, is a delightful gem offering modern Ukrainian cuisine that beautifully captures the essence of traditional flavors with a contemporary twist.

One standout dish that has captured the hearts of patrons is the Potato Pancakes served with feta and sea buckthorn jam. The combination of savory feta and the tangy sweetness of sea buckthorn creates a harmonious blend of flavors that will leave your taste buds craving for more.

For those looking to warm up during the chilly Chicago days, Anelya's Golden Uzvar is a must-try. Made with smoked pear, apple, and hazelnut, this comforting drink is served piping hot and can be upgraded with Imperian Quince Brandy for a slightly boozy kick.

Anelya also pays homage to Ukrainian culinary heritage with their take on Banosh, a traditional dish originating from the Carpathian mountains. Their version features locally-grown grits, mushrooms, and sheep's milk cheese, showcasing the simplicity and heartiness of Ukrainian cuisine while telling a story of resilience and flavor.

Beyond their delectable offerings, Anelya Chicago also demonstrates its commitment to social responsibility by supporting the Come Back Alive Foundation. By donating all proceeds from their house-made borsch and exclusive borsch t-shirts to aid Ukrainian soldiers and civilians affected by conflict, Anelya showcases not only culinary excellence but also a dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

With its innovative approach to Ukrainian cuisine, warm ambiance, and philanthropic initiatives, Anelya Chicago stands out as a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts seeking an authentic yet modern dining experience in the heart of Chicago.
