Mei’s will be open throughout the holiday weekend, including Labor Day, with handcrafted dumplings, comforting classics and plenty of dishes made for passing around the table.

Mei’s has officially opened inside The Whitehall Hotel, bringing back a legacy menu inspired by traditional Taiwanese, Mandarin and Szechuan cooking, along with flavorful dishes from across Southeast Asia.
From handcrafted dumplings and tender Berkshire pork to longtime favorites worth rediscovering, there is something beautiful waiting at the table.

Sooner or later, everything old is new again. Welcome to the reinvented Mei’s Gold Coast! By popular demand, we are delighted to announce the exciting reopening of Mei’s 2.0.
So many of our patrons were missing a neighborhood favorite, Mei’s restaurant. After much deliberation, we decided to go back to the restaurant where it all started.
Help us celebrate the relaunch of Mei’s, where you will savor some of your favorite dishes and time-honored traditional family recipes.
We look forward to recapturing your loyalty and patronage!

Mei’s South Loop is closing our doors but keeping the memories. We’ve served our last meal at the South Loop location.
When one door closes, two more open. Exciting news – you can still enjoy many of your favorite dishes you savored at our sister restaurant, , just around the corner at 1101 S. Wabash.
For our neighbors on the Gold Coast, celebrate the return of Mei’s (located at The Whitehall Hotel), which will reopen on Monday, August 17.
