Update on the future of Milk and Honey Cafe:
We're so sorry for the extended closure, it's been a very trying few months. Despite the city enforcement, our issues were actually with the State of IL. We have been working tirelessly with the state on rectifying our issues with them, but even with solutions the messaging from the state, our landlord, and my own ability to keep the lights on while closed has been clear that the cafe will need new ownership to move forward.
Milk and Honey has been in the neighborhood for over 2 decades now, and should continue to be the community gathering space it's meant to be. My hope, is that someone in the community wants to take this mantle and lead the cafe into it's next phase. If you, or know of anyone who has interest in becoming the new owner of Milk and Honey, send an email over to [email protected].

Unfortunately, we are closed for the foreseeable future, and while we are working hard to reopen, we currently do not have a timetable for when that will be.
