Happy Father’s Day to the best grandfather and dad to ever walk this earth.
You are missed, celebrated, and honored every single day. Everything we do is built on the lessons you taught us: the work ethic, the wisdom, the tenacity, the humor (and Tony D absolutely had jokes), and the ability to feel fear and do it anyway.
You taught us that when faced with a Goliath, the size of the fight doesn’t matter nearly as much as having the courage to do the right thing.
Happy Father’s Day, Gene and Tony.
And to every dad on our team and beyond—we celebrate you today. To those fortunate enough to spend the day with their fathers, we hope you enjoy every moment. And to those missing their dads, or who never had the chance to know them, we’re holding space for you too. Days like today can be beautiful, but they can also be complicated.
Here’s to the fathers who raise strong daughters, respectful sons, and good humans.
Especially you, Gene and Tony. I wish you were here to throw a few steaks on the grill with Collin and me and spend a Sunday together. We miss you both more than words can say.

The sun is shining and it’s almost Friday…days like this call for a long lunch at a Chicago staple! The G&G Signature Burger is just the ticket—1/2 lb. prime steakburger, topped with lettuce, tomato & raw onion. Lunch is served daily from 11am. Order up! 🛎️

Built in the years after the Great Chicago Fire, our old structure was part of a city rebuilding itself from ash, smoke, and chaos. Some say buildings like this were only meant to stand temporarily…yet here we are, nearly 150 years later!
Chicago lasted.
This building lasted.
And somehow, so have we.
Through generations of family dinners, deals made over steaks, weddings, celebrations, late nights, hard years, these walls have seen it all.
85 years of Gene & Georgetti, and nearly 150 years of Chicago history.
