Jitters is a cozy coffee shop and American restaurant located on N Chicago Street. With a unique historic decor, customers can relax, work or socialize while enjoying a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, salads, deli sandwiches and flatbreads. The menu also features breakfast items such as croissants and French toast, as well as homemade baked goods like brownies and muffins. Looking at the back of this shirt brings back so many memories of the incredible restaurants, shops, and local businesses that helped shape our downtown over the years. Every logo tells a story, and every business played a part in making Downtown Joliet what it is today.

Congratulations to our brother, Daniel George Duffy and his team Duffy Signs on being entrusted with the signage for such an incredible piece of Joliet history! Having the opportunity to help restore the world’s first Dairy Queen into a Route 66 landmark is something to be incredibly proud of. Your craftsmanship will be part of preserving this landmark for generations of visitors. Congratulations on being part of such a meaningful project! 👏🎉

To get to N Chicago Street in Joliet, there are a few options for public transport. One is to take the Metra Rock Island Line to the Joliet station and then walk south on Scott Street until you reach N Chicago Street. Another option is to take the Pace Bus #501 from the Joliet Transportation Center and get off at the corner of Jefferson Street and Chicago Street, where you can walk a couple of blocks south to reach N Chicago Street.

If driving, take I-80 east or west to Exit 130 for Houbolt Road/N Chicago Street. From there, head north on N Chicago Street until you reach your destination. There is street parking available along N Chicago Street as well as a public parking lot located at the corner of N Chicago Street and Washington Street.

The menu is diverse and offers something for everyone, including special sandwiches of the day like the Italian Combo panini and Jitters Antipasto sandwich. The drink of the day options are also impressive, with refreshing choices like Mango strawberry lemonade freeze and frozen hot chocolate (add some espresso…make it dirty). The cream of chicken rice soup is a must-try as well. The staff at Jitters are friendly and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience.
