What people say
Caravanserai, located on W. Belmont in Chicago, is a coffee shop that offers a unique and delicious experience for coffee lovers. The shop is the brainchild of Dark Matter Coffee, known for their exceptional coffee blends. One of their latest blends, inspired by the sweet-scented Datura plant, features a washed Salvadoran coffee and a natural processed Pacas from Las Marias. The result is a cup of coffee with a sweet peanut butter-like base and bright floral notes that become more prominent as the coffee cools down. The blend is complemented by notes of apple jelly, Sauvignon Blanc, and key lime.
In addition to their exceptional blends, Caravanserai also offers barrel-aged coffees that are truly out of this world. Their natural processed Pacas from Finca Las Marias is aged in Goose Island Tepache Sunset barrels originally used to age tequila. The result is a fusion of tropical flavors like pineapple upside-down cake, toasted marshmallow, and coriander that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
The shop also showcases local artists like Brian Herrera who created this year's artwork. With its unique blends and commitment to supporting local artists, Caravanserai is definitely worth checking out for any coffee lover in Chicago!
