We had to close our family restaurant… but only for a little while. 🥹🌮
My dad built Tacotlán with what he had, and over the years our little building has taken a lot of wear and tear. Now it’s finally getting the facelift it deserves. ❤️
In the meantime, we’re right across the street at Tacotlán Express — and we’re still figuring out what “Express” could become.
If you’ve been with us during one of our crazy busy or viral moments, you KNOW how packed the OG can get, especially with dine-in guests, delivery drivers and pickup orders all happening in the same space. 😂
So we want to hear from you:
Should we keep Tacotlán Express even after the OG reopens? 👀
Maybe a dedicated spot for pickups, delivery orders, quick lunches and those extra-busy weekends?

Guyssssss, this was so cool! We’re so proud of our chamber member friends, Josh and Amanda and their interns Aiden and Leila.

Such a great time today at The Banchet Awards Cluck ‘N Bubble The Alston.
I haven’t had a chance to relax in quite a while and I was looking forward to this event all month long. It did NOT disappoint.
Congratulations to Honey Butter Fried Chicken for their win, your bite was phenomenal! And to our neighbor Ethan Eang Lim Hermosa for having one of the best bites there.

A while back, our Hermosa Belmont Cragin Chamber members Amanda Saucedo and Joshua Romero reached out and asked if a group of more than 10 high school interns they were working with could come film at Tacotlán and talk about our story and how we give back to our community.
Of course I said yes. ❤️
They came out on what felt like the HOTTEST day of the summer 🥵😂 and I remember being so impressed by them. These kids showed up, worked together and carried themselves like true professionals. The entire group had a hand in putting this project together, with Amanda and Joshua guiding them along the way.
Now we get to see their work on the big screen! 🥹🎥
Join us Wednesday, August 26 at 8 PM at Austin Town Hall Park for Chicago On Screen: Taste of Community.
The film was directed by high school interns Aiden Shah and Leila Kniffen and produced by Amanda Saucedo and Joshua Romero.
Bring your family, a blanket or lawn chairs and come hang out with us in community. And maybe hide a little bottle of wine in that picnic basket. 😂🍷
