Sundae Stop Sundae Stop is an ice cream shop and parlor with a CTA theme, specializing in premium homemade ice cream, sorbet, and edible cookie dough bites. Their homemade ice cream can also be found at FlipSigi on Halsted and Brounie Desserts on 3721 N Southport Ave. Although their doors will soon close, they have been grateful for the opportunity to share their love for ice cream with the community, even donating to hospitals and first responders during the pandemic.

Our main concern has been resolved: Our staff have all secured employment with good benefits before our last day so there will be no interruption for them! 🙏 🌈

It is with heavy hearts and lots of tears Jay & I have decided to close the doors at Sundae Stop. Opening in January 2020, 2 months before a global pandemic, was a great challenge for us. Being able to donate our ice creams to hospitals & first responders during the pandemic has been the highlight of our short 2.5 years in business.
As much as we would love to continue to make fresh, homemade ice cream with great ingredients, we cannot any longer.
We want to thank the community by opening our doors on Sunday October 2nd from 12-6pm for our last official day of business. We look forward to serving you for the next couple weeks. We will be open 4pm Tue-Sun.
We are so grateful for the opportunity that Lakeview has given us to serve the best ice cream in Chicago.

For those using public transport, take the bus or train to the Chicago downtown area. From there, walk east for several blocks until you reach the intersection of State Street and Madison Street. Once you arrive at this intersection, turn left and head north for a few more blocks until you come across a brightly lit storefront on your right.

For drivers or those coming by car, take I-90/94 towards downtown Chicago and exit at Madison St. Continue driving east on Madison St until you reach State St where you should turn left. Look for a bright storefront on your right-hand side.

Parking is available nearby in several garages or surface lots as well as metered street parking. Be sure to research your preferred parking option ahead of time to avoid confusion and delays once arriving in the busy downtown area.
