BRGRBELLY has been selected as one of 64 contestants for Best Burger in America by the64.com (get it?) It is a bracket tournament wherein the winning vote-getter advances to the next round. A couple questions you might have:
"How was BRGRBELLY selected for inclusion?"
No idea. Pretty good burgers?
"Why isn't [insert other awesome NW Side burger place] included?"
We don't know. Take it up with the64, I guess.
"What is the 64?"
Never heard of it until a couple weeks ago. Seems harmless and legit though.
"What is your beef with Burger District in Arlington, Virginia?"
We bear no animus towards Burger District. It is deeply unfortunate that we must pummel them into the ground (metaphorically, through votes, of course.) Wrong place, wrong time. They don't know you guys like we do...
This opening round runs from 11:00 CST today (5/28) until midnight Saturday night (5/30.) We will keep you updated on our status and the time frames for future rounds.
There are a few other great Chicago places in the contest. Throw them a vote, support local institutions (until, sadly, it becomes necessary to dispatch them as well.)
Here is the link to vote. We are in Division 4 (bottom right.)

Times change, and you can step back and wonder what might have been or you can change with them. While we wouldn’t trade 13 years of slinging the best house-ground burgers on the Northwest Side, the future belongs to those who would heed inspiration’s gentle call, which is a roundabout way of saying…
Say Hello to BOBABELLY, Portage Park’s New Home for Inspired, Hand-Crafted, Scratch-Made Boba Teas and Related Refreshments!
This decision was not made rashly. Far from it, in fact. There was a great deal of soul searching. Also it’s safe to say we’ve done more or less our fair share of market research. Focus groups, tastings, things of that nature. And what we have seen could best be described as a clamoring. There is a hole in Portage Park, we’ve identified it, and we intend to fill it with novelty beverages!
It is our intention that BOBABELLY bring the same level of pride and inventiveness that we brought to our burgers into the interactive sweetened beverage space. And believe it or not, people do love this stuff!
A more formal announcement will be forthcoming, as will the full drink menu and event schedule. But we wanted to let you who have supported us for so long to be the first to know. We are energized and excited to see what future BOBABELLY has in store for us. With your support, we know this reconcept can’t miss. Then after 13 years of this, who knows? It is our sincerest hope that you will continue along with us on this journey.
Refreshingly,
Your Pals at BOBABELLY

End of the month! Dollar wings tonight and the last day for this handsome feller...
03/23/2026
Thirteen years ago today, we crossed our fingers and flung the doors open on a neighborhood-focused scratch kitchen burger joint named after one of Steve and Nicole's favorite singers. So little and yet so much has changed, if that makes sense.
Sure, its not numbers, but thirteen years is nothing to sneeze at in this business. Thank you all for continuing to be part of what is at its heart a labor of love!

You can't not love this neighborhood.
