We’re excited for Sundays Funday on the patio as we host our guests Sonorama in the DJ booth.
Sonorama is a Chicago-based DJ
collective that is known for energizing dance floors and sound waves with a unique blend of vintage Latin sounds.
Founded in 2010 by Charly Garcia and brothers Edgar and Marlowe Baca, Sonorama is a group of insatiable diggers and lovers of music on vinyl. A true melting pot of styles and genres from all spanish speaking countries, you can always expect to hear something new to groove with.
Pull up, put your food order in and bring your cervezas, micheladas or mezcal that pairs nicely with our agua fresca.

We’re excited to welcome back Future Rootz to the Omarcitos patio for our Sunday afternoon DJ series. Weather permitting.
Future Rootz is a Chicago-based DJ collective connecting sounds, rhythms, movement, and culture from across the global diaspora. Our sets blend deep cuts, classics, and new sounds. Expect a groove-heavy set moving through afro-Cuban rhythms, salsa, afrobeat, reggae, house, and other tropical and diasporic sounds.

Saturday, September 5 from 1 pm- 5 pm Cecil Thomas aka C-DUB takes over DJ booth on our patio, weather permitting.
- Cecil Thomas aka C-DUB Cecil Thomas is a South Asian artist that has been a record collector for over 35 years and a selector/DJ for over 25 years. C-DUB is a resident for Radio Alhara in Palestine and part of the Daddy Disco Soundsystem here in Chicago. Expect a wild and eclectic set of reggae, funk, disco, house, new wave, post-punk, and lots of global dancefloor sounds from Africa, India, South America, and the Caribbean.
Come thru, put your food order in and pull up a chair. Don’t forget your fav spirit that mixes well with our agua frescas.

This Sunday, August 30, Omarcitos Latin Cafe proudly hosts da Remix VOL 16 — a collaboration curated and hosted with Cari Da Rage Cari Bermudez featuring our resident DJ, and Chief Creative/Marketing Officer Rick Cruz Rick Cruz, plus live canvas painting on the patio by Mario Mena of Mena Art Mario Mena. 1 pm–5 pm, weather permitting.

We were honored to participate in The Oyster Social 4 Festival this past Sunday, where we served an open-faced cornmeal-crusted oyster jibarito. Our sincere thanks to Chef Rickie Perez for inviting us and for hosting a wonderful event. To all of the participating restaurants—your dedication and talent is truly amazing. The festival stood as a vibrant testament to our great city, celebrating cultures from around the world. We had a fantastic time and hope to join again next year.
