A lifelong Chicagoan and second-generation Filipino American, Chef Joe’s cooking is rooted in heritage, memory, and the evolving story of Filipino American identity. And we're extremely excited to spotlight his creation this month! 🇵🇭

For this collab, Chef Joe presents a Bento that bridges Filipino comfort and TenGoku tradition: Chicken Inasal leg quarter with pinakurat dipping sauce, rice finished with chicken skin oil and annatto, seasonal salad, beef lumpia, tamagoyaki, and ume shisho hosomaki.

Join us Thursday, May 28, from 8–11 p.m. as we welcome some of the city’s best mixology masters from three AANHPI-led concepts: , Southport’s favorite neighborhood Japanese hangout; .chi, a Korean American café and cocktail pop-up blending tradition with modern flavors; and Chiyo Takemoto of Coquetel Collective, known for its curated collection of artisanal sake, sool, mezcal and more. 🍶🥃

April's Bento & Co. launches tomorrow, featuring Chef , founder of and one of Chicago’s leading voices in Indonesian cuisine! 🇮🇩

Join us tomorrow for lunch and enjoy this savory Mackerel Dabu-Dabu Bento! Grilled mackerel finished with sambal dabu-dabu, fried shallots, cilantro, and acar acar, served with nasi goreng, arugula salad with yuzu vinaigrette, beef gyoza, and miso soup.

Our next Bento & Co. welcomes Chef John Avila, founder of and one of Chicago’s leading voices in Indonesian cuisine. 🇮🇩

With a background shaped in kitchens like Alinea, Four Seasons, The Duck Inn, and Gibsons Italia, Chef Avila brings a personal approach to his cooking, rooted in family, tradition, and the bold, layered flavors of Padang cuisine.

For this collaboration, he presents the Mackerel Dabu-Dabu Bento, highlighting grilled mackerel finished with sambal dabu-dabu, fried shallots, cilantro, and Acar Acar. Paired with nasi goreng, arugula salad with yuzu vinaigrette, beef gyoza, and miso soup. SO GOOD! 💥
