Her book We Are The Culture chronicles how Black Chicago has been the source and inspiration for many of pop culture's obsessions. When Hollywood comes to the Westside🤯
We had the pleasure of keeping the stars of The Bear cozy and caffeinated while filming season 5 of the series. It's a blessing to be discovered in this way, but the real honor came when they called us back for more and more and more🙏🏽❤️

Humans of Muse Coffee Studio✨️
Dwamina Drew is a local art collector, Black history and hip-hop archivist, and general lover of the culture. His show 'Listen To Me Now, Believe Me Later On' recently concluded in Los Angeles, and it was attended by music legends such as Robert Glasper, Common, and the queen herself - Beyoncé. Drew comes to Muse for the conversation and community, and he always gives us something to think about🙏🏽😎

To get to a coffee shop located on S. Western Avenue in Chicago, there are several options for both public transport and driving/parking.
Public Transport:
- Take the Blue Line train towards Forest Park and get off at Illinois Medical District station. From there, take the #50 Damen bus heading southbound and get off at the Western & Taylor stop. Walk south along Western Avenue until you reach your destination.
- Alternatively, take the #49 Western bus heading north or southbound depending on your starting point and get off at the Taylor Street stop. Walk west along Taylor Street until you reach Western Avenue, then turn left and walk south until you reach your destination.
Driving/Parking:
- If coming from downtown Chicago, take I-290 W towards western suburbs and exit at Western Avenue. Make a right turn onto S. Western Ave and continue driving until you find street parking near your desired location.
- If coming from southwest suburbs, take I-55 N towards Chicago and exit at Damen Ave/Cermak Road. Make a left turn onto S Damen Ave and continue driving until you reach Taylor Street. Make a right turn onto Taylor St and then another right turn onto S. Western Ave, where you can look for street parking near your desired location.
