Customers could order online for delivery through Ritual and enjoy breakfast and lunch specials every day. The restaurant also offered a kids menu for CPS students, and had a reputation for giving back to the community in times of need. However, Johnnie's Snack Shop has permanently closed its doors, without stating any reason for doing so.

As the City Of Chicago's indoor mask mandate took effect on Friday, the same requirement will now be in effect for the Cook County suburbs, effective on Monday. Today, many city restaurants and bars were putting those "no mask, no service" signs back in place, CBS 2 Asal Rezaei reports.

To get to the location on N Halsted Street in Chicago, you can take the CTA Red Line train and get off at the North/Clybourn station. From there, walk east on North Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach Halsted St. The location will be on your left.

If you prefer to drive, take I-90/94 and exit at North Ave. Head east on North Ave for about 1 mile until you reach Halsted St. There is street parking available nearby, but it may be limited during peak hours. Alternatively, there is a paid parking lot located across the street from the location.
