What an incredible experience it has been teaching the amazing students of Aldridge Elementary School during this spring’s after-school programming. 💚
As a mother of soon-to-be six, it is deeply important to me to pour into our youth and show them the true power of food, wellness, and intentional living. Watching these students grow over the weeks was truly inspiring. What started as hesitation around trying fresh and unfamiliar ingredients quickly turned into excitement, curiosity, and confidence every time they walked into class asking, “What are we cooking this week?” 👩🏽🍳🥬🍓
As programming came to an end, we held our final showcase where a few students shared what they learned and what they plan to carry with them moving forward. Hearing them speak about making healthier choices, trying new foods, and understanding the impact of their choices truly warmed my heart.
Moments like that remind me that this work is so much bigger than cooking. We are helping groom the next generation to be informed, empowered, and confident enough to take their wellness into their own hands — one plate at a time. ✨
Thank you to the students, families, and staff for welcoming me into your space and allowing me to be part of such a meaningful journey. I’m already looking forward to reconnecting with the students again this fall! 🍽️🌱

What an incredible time at the Blue Door Neighborhood Center! 💙
The environment was so warm, fun, and inviting, and the participants truly brought the energy. From laughter to hands-on learning, everyone was fully engaged and having an amazing time.
We were honored to be welcomed back for Visitor Appreciation Day after winning the Superfood Showdown! 🏆✨ It was such a full-circle moment to return and share two of our signature recipes while continuing conversations around healthy, flavorful, and approachable meals.
Experiences like these remind us that food is more than nourishment — its connection, community, education, and joy.
Thank you for having ChiSoul Cuisine be a part of such a special day. We’re grateful for every opportunity to inspire healthier lifestyles through interactive food experiences! 🌱🍴

Yesterday’s Grow Greater experience was a beautiful reminder that food is so much more than what’s on our plates — it’s education, empowerment, healing, and community. 🌱✨
We had an amazing time connecting with residents, sharing nourishing creations, and creating meaningful conversations.
Thank you for having us and to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and poured into the experience with us ❤️

Yesterday, we kicked off our Food Is Medicine summer cohort — and it was so much bigger than another cooking class and another meal. 🌱✨
It's about creating a space where people feel empowered to ask questions, learn new skills, taste healthier options, and realize that wellness does not have to feel intimidating or out of reach.
This is the work.
Not just serving meals — but building healthier futures through food, education, and shared experiences. 💚
Thank you to everyone who showed up, participated, learned, and poured into the experience with us. See you guys in 2 weeks 😇

Yesterday for Cinco de Mayo, our young chefs were in the kitchen making empanadas… but what they gained goes far beyond the recipe. 🌱✨
Each class is an opportunity to see food through a new lens—learning how to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into dishes they already love, balancing savory flavors with fresh, crisp ingredients, and building confidence with every chop, stir, and fold.
From practicing knife skills and understanding the importance of sanitation, to receiving one-on-one guidance and learning how to beautifully plate their creations—these moments are shaping lifelong habits, not just meals.
Because this isn’t just a cooking class… it’s empowerment.
FOOD IS POWER—and our mission is woven into every single experience. 💚

Unity looks like this.
A day set aside to beautify, uplift, and celebrate the Englewood community—and what stood out most is the way people show up for each other. While I’m not from Englewood, I can truly say there’s something special here. The collaboration, the care, the commitment to real change… it’s not something you find everywhere.
Organizations, families, leaders, and neighbors all moving with purpose—together.
I brought the whole tribe with me, and we made a full day of it. We started our morning at Growing Home and closed it out at Imagine Englewood If Peace Campus. From start to finish, it was love, it was joy, it was community in action.
This is what unity looks like. 💚

Thanks to & we had another great opportunity witness our mission in action‼️
Cooks of ALL ages proved one thing… FOOD IS POWER! 🍜✨
They didn’t just follow a recipe—they created their own 🧑🏾🍳
From choosing fresh, whole foods to building layers of flavor with aromatics, sauces, and vibrant finishings… every bowl of ramen was a reflection of who THEY are.
This is what empowerment looks like 🙌🏾
Realizing that healthy food can be creative, flavorful, and a true expression of YOU 🤗

Celebrating Earth Day with was nothing short of AMAZING 🌱✨
From the live demos, to the love from the community, to participants walking away with fresh produce bags to recreate the recipes at home—it was everything and more. This is exactly why I do what I do… meeting people where they are and introducing them to fresh, healthy options in a real, relatable way.
One of my favorite moments? He came for chips… but we made a deal 🤝 he tried the cucumber salsa—and loved it! He had never tried ANY kind of salsa before in his life, so that was a huge win for me 😅
Moments like that remind me: impact doesn’t have to be big and flashy. Sometimes it’s just one new experience, one new taste, one new mindset 🌍💚
Thank you so much for having me !
I'm truly grateful to be in spaces doing the work I love!

What I’m living today is something I once could only dream about.
As a Southside girl raised by a single dad, meals from Popeyes, Wendy’s, and whatever was quick and close by were just a part of life 😂 Not because we didn’t know better—but because it was what was convenient and accessible.
The experience of growing up on Southside is where my mission was born.
Even before starting Chi Soul, I always wanted to show parents and children that healthy eating can be just as convenient, just as accessible, and even enjoyable. Living a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to feel out of reach.
To now see that vision come to life through Chi Soul—impacting families, shifting mindsets, and creating real change in our communities! It's truly a dream come true for me 😇
With so many exciting partnerships and plans ahead, I know what I see now is only the beginning 🙌🏾
I'm so honored to continue to build an ecosystem for wellness that focuses on just feeding people but empowering them to change their lives one meal, one lesson, and one opportunity at a time 🤞🏾❤️

This year, Women’s History Month was truly epic for me. 💖✨
From celebrating 6 years in business 🙌🏾…
To having the privilege of celebrating and educating CTA employees across 3 different locations…
To catering for DePaul University and Sunshine Enterprises…
To winning Best Recipe at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Superfood Showdown 🏆…
And still showing up to educate our youth through after-school programming…
This month reminded me of something so real:
As women, we push past limitations every single day.
We are not just wives.
Not just mothers.
Not just caretakers.
We are visionaries. Creators. Leaders. Builders. Healers.
We are everything and anything we choose to be. 🙌🏾💫
To all my women—
Keep shining.
Keep thriving.
Keep showing up.
Because there’s a little girl watching you… with big dreams. 😇💖

As I shared with you all, I entered a contest for Entrepreneur of Impact…But the truth is— impact isn’t measured in votes.
It’s measured in moments like this.
The work, the mission, and the lives we’re touching every single day. 🥰😇
Watching these kids light up while creating something from scratch—using fresh, real ingredients, stepping outside their comfort zones, and actually getting excited about healthier food… it’s a feeling I can’t fully put into words.
That’s why I do this.
Every after-school session, every live demo, every catering order—it’s all rooted in something bigger than food. It’s about impact. It’s about exposure. It’s about planting seeds that can change lives.
And I’m grateful for every single moment of it. 💚

WE WON THE SUPERFOODS SHOWDOWN!! 🙌🏾🏆✨
What an incredible experience competing alongside such talented chefs who are just as passionate about creating food that’s not only flavorful, but also healthy, nutritionally balanced, and diabetic-friendly.
We went in knowing the ingredients would be limited… but it quickly turned into a real chopped challenge when we realized we didn’t have everything we originally expected 😅 and honestly, that made it even more fun, creative, and exciting.
I’m so grateful that everyone enjoyed the dishes presented by all of the chefs, and even more honored that ChiSoul Cuisine was awarded Best Recipe 😇🎊🙌🏽
Thank you so much to Chef .quentinlove for the opportunity and to and the Pullman Blue Door Neighborhood Center for creating a space that highlights how powerful food can be in supporting healthier communities.
This is exactly what ChiSoul Cuisine is all about 💚

When the kids heard we were making tacos, they were HYPED 🌮😂
Then I reminded them… our recipes always come with a healthy twist 🤭
They were a little nervous, but excited to try something new. And guess what? They loved the pita tacos… even without the meat🤗
Moments like this remind me how much I truly love working with youth and helping them discover that fresh, healthy flavors actually taste amazing. 💚
We even finished early so they tried to help me record my Pitch Competition video. I was a finalist last year, and just because I didn’t win doesn’t mean I won’t take my shot again this year 💪🏾

Full circle doesn’t even begin to describe yesterday. 🤎
Last year, I was a student in the DePaul University Social Impact Incubator with a vision for Chi Soul.
This year, they invited me back not as a participant, but as the caterer for the new cohort… serving the same Soul Bowls I introduced during my time in the program 🥹
Walking onto campus not as a student, but as a professional was humbling. It reminded me how far Chi Soul has come, how deeply people connect with what we stand for, and how real this mission is becoming ✨
While I was serving Soul Bowls at DePaul, my Chi Soul partner was leading our afterschool culinary class. We provide the curriculum and ingredients, but it’s wellness professionals like her who help bring this vision to life, allowing us to educate, empower, and nourish in multiple spaces at the same time 🙌🏾
Last year this felt like a dream.
This year, it feels like alignment.
Thank you to everyone who believes in the Chi Soul mission.
This is bigger than catering.
It’s community.
It’s opportunity.
It’s legacy.
And we’re just getting started. ✨
Special thanks to for the continued support, knowledge, & growth that was inspired by being a part of the cohort ❤️❤️❤️

It is never a dull moment anytime I get the privilege to come share space with the wonderful employees of
😅🥰
Our Chia parfaits are always a fan favorite at summer festivals, but I wanted to share this recipe specifically in celebration of women's history month!
As a chef, a wellness Coach, a wife, and mom of 5 (soon to be 6 🥰), I know personally just how many hats women wear without ever thinking twice 💪🏾
Women are natural caregivers, and sometimes that means we forget to take care of ourselves. So I wanted to share a recipe that is quick, easy, and so nourishing that it can make caring for our wellness through a simple meal something that doesn't have to seem like another sacrifice.
I am so glad everyone enjoyed the recipe. And I'm looking forward to sharing two more recipes at two other CTA locations this month 😇
What are wonderful way to celebrate women's history month AND national nutrition month! I'm so honored 🥰
